From July 17 to July 19, Priva participated in Cultivate’22 in Columbus, Ohio, North Americas annual horticulture show. This year the show had a great turnout with many familiar faces from friends and industry partners. At the Priva booth, we introduced an innovative way to showcase how we integrate climate and water management controls via a virtual experience. This experience helps to visualize the importance of integrating all key components within the greenhouse for precision growing.
In addition, Priva had the opportunity to provide more insight into best practices for closed-loop irrigation systems during a live knowledge session. "Water management in horticulture is becoming more important", explains Kees van der Kruk, product manager Water Systems, "efficiency in water and fertilizer usage is vital from both a business perspective, as well as having permits to grow".
During the knowledge session several subjects we're covered, from an optimized irrigation strategy to water treatment technologies. "The most important take-a-way from this session is that closed loop systems are not only about the big steps, but can start with small measures that benefit irrigation water quality, reducing the need for leaching."
