Responding to increased demand for support and solutions, Priva is launching its Cybersecurity Drop-in at the Smart Buildings Show at ExCeL London on 14–15 October 2026 (Stand A28).
Cybersecurity is now a critical consideration for anyone responsible for building management systems (BMS). But with new, tighter legislation and standards emerging, it isn't always easy to understand what they mean for your organisation or the existing systems you manage.
Priva's Cybersecurity Drop-in at Smart Buildings Show 2026 offers visitors a simple Cyber Consultation, providing an opportunity to discuss their specific situation with its team of BMS cybersecurity specialists. The consultation takes a conversational approach, helping visitors get a clearer understanding of the questions they should be asking about their systems, responsibilities and compliance.
Priva's Cybersecurity Drop-in is designed to support anyone who has questions or concerns about BMS cybersecurity, including building owners and operators, facilities managers, BMS professionals and systems integrators.
Visitors to the Smart Buildings Show can use Cybersecurity Drop-in to explore questions such as:
There is growing demand for practical information about new and stricter requirements relating to the security of building networks and connected devices.
Legislation and standards including NIS2, IEC 62443 and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) are changing expectations around the security of connected systems. These changes sit alongside a growing focus on the resilience of the operational technology and systems on which buildings depend.
For organisations operating in critical sectors, understanding their responsibilities is particularly important. Therefore, the Drop-in is particularly relevant to those responsible for BMS systems in sectors including data centres, hospitals, energy facilities, water infrastructure and transport infrastructure, where organisations may be within the scope of the NIS2 Directive.
“There is a lot of discussion about cybersecurity and compliance, but it can be difficult for people responsible for buildings to translate that into practical action, particularly when they have legacy BMS hardware or systems that have evolved over many years,” says Jens Fiig, Managing Director, Priva Building Automation.
“The Priva Cybersecurity Drop-in is intended to provide clarity and practical guidance for any organisation that is concerned about its responsibilities. Our simple Cyber Consultation opens up the conversation so that we can support BMS professionals by better understanding what they are responsible for, what questions they should be asking their BMS provider, and where their current system sits against emerging requirements.”
Priva’s aim is simple: to help SBS visitors better understand their cybersecurity position and identify the right questions to ask about their BMS.
Priva’s new Guide to Cybersecurity, Quality & Compliance is also available to download in advance of the Smart Buildings Show.
