Energy management
Priva Connext has been designed to manage all energy flows as efficiently as possible - from heat and cold to electricity, light, CO₂, and water - all within a single system. Based on your insights, Priva Connext aligns all your energy consumers and sources, even taking into account potential tariff fluctuations or future price developments. Additionally, Priva Connext makes it possible to prevent grid congestion. Priva closely monitors developments in the energy market and continuously develops software to support the latest energy innovations, such as dynamic lighting and flexible purchasing
LED & HPS lighting
LED lighting has become an essential part of many greenhouse growing strategies. At the same time, it is becoming more complex to get the most out of a lighting installation. Growers increasingly want more than simple dimming. They want to steer light intensity precisely in µmol/m²/s, work with different light spectra and respond to factors such as weather conditions or energy prices. This requires a level of control that goes beyond basic on/off switching or fixed percentage settings.
With Priva Connext, lighting becomes a true steering tool for crop growth. The system supports HLP Exact Light Control, allowing growers to control lighting not only by percentage but also directly by µmol light levels. Lighting recipes can be created using spectrum tables, making it easy to work with different lighting strategies. Growers can switch between simple and more advanced settings depending on the level of control required, while maintaining stable and accurate lighting control throughout the greenhouse.
All of this is possible with Priva Connext, which also includes specialized optimization software to solve this complex challenge for you.
Additional features: built-in gas strategy and 24-hour management
A key advantage of Priva Connext is the standard built-in gas strategy. This allows you to easily set up a 24-hour or daily strategy for heat production and CO₂ supply. Based on the parameters you define, Connext calculates the optimal way to fill (or empty) the buffer to minimize gas consumption while still ensuring the right amount of CO₂ is available.
This is especially useful if you want to use cheaper (or “green”) electricity during the day to power your electric boilers, or if you prefer to generate heat at night when gas prices are lower. There’s no need to purchase an extra module; this gas strategy is included as standard in Connext.
In addition, the 24-hour strategy in Connext takes changing weather conditions into account. On sunny days, the greenhouse may already be well-heated naturally, but you might still require extra CO₂. On cloudy, cold days, Connext ensures there’s enough heat stored in the buffer in time to keep the greenhouse at the desired temperature. This helps you avoid peak loads and climate fluctuations inside the greenhouse, resulting in a more stable and sustainable operation.
